Terms of Use
Please read these terms before using BP Notebook. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
1. Apple's licence agreement
The app is provided through the App Store, and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) also applies. These terms add to it; where the two differ, the Standard EULA prevails.
2. Not a medical device
- The app records and organises the numbers you measure with your own blood pressure monitor. It doesn't measure blood pressure, isn't a medical device and doesn't diagnose or treat anything.
- Levels, target lines, averages and suggestions are worked out from published medical guidelines. They are for reference and don't replace your doctor's judgement. Don't start, stop or change any medication based on the app alone.
- If a reading is very high, or you have chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness or numbness, or difficulty speaking, call 911 or your local emergency number right away.
- Results are only as accurate as the numbers you enter and the data read from Apple Health.
3. Your data
Your readings are stored only on your device. We have no copy and can't recover them for you, so please use the app's backup files, CSV export and your iPhone's backups. Check who you're sending to before you share a report or file.
4. Pro and payments
- Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. Prices are shown in the App Store, and Apple handles payment.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.
- If a plan includes a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Free: log every reading and see the last 7 days (charts, history and report), 722, two reminders, suggestions from your readings, Apple Health sync, and CSV export and backups of everything. When Pro ends, older readings aren't deleted: they come back with Pro, and CSV export and backups always include them.
5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and reliable but can't promise it will be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from using or being unable to use the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have under the laws where you live that can't be waived by agreement.
6. Intellectual property
The app's name, icon, design and content belong to LI YAN-SHAN. Apple, Apple Health and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the date below when we do. We'll tell you in the app about important changes. Using the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), and the Taiwan Taipei District Court is the court of first instance for any dispute. This doesn't affect the rights consumer protection laws where you live give you.
